Youth Vision
Proverbs 29:18-Where there is no vision the people will perish
To equip our youth with the necessary tools to become integral parts of the body of Christ through worship, ministry, preaching, fellowship and discipleship.
The Goal of Imagine Student Ministries is to raise next generation leaders in our church and community. We will accomplish this through love, teaching, and caring for our youth. We exist to reach non-Christian youth in the community. We will do this by teaching the word of God and supporting our youth so that they can go outside the four walls of the church and deliver the message of Jesus Christ.
Our youth program should be a place where young people can seek refuge from the day to day struggles of the world. By incorporating good solid teaching with the Word as the foundation, our youth will flourish. Leaders who lead by example can have a tremendous effect on our youth. Imagine student ministries needs to be a place that feeds our youth with the Word of God and be a place of love, trust, and understanding. Imagine Student Ministries is a youth that Lives Out Loud, Loves Like Jesus, and Reaches The Lost.
Ministry Principles
Worship: Celebrating God’s presence and honoring him with our Lifestyles
Romans 1:21-Offer your body as a living sacrifice, Holy and pleasing to God-This is your spiritual act of worship
Psalms 66:4-All the earth shall worship You And sing praises to You; They shall sing praises to Your name.
Psalm 95:6-Come in, we bow ourselves, and we bend, We kneel before Jehova our Maker
Our worship is an integral part of winning the unsaved and should be demonstrated regularly and with passion. Worship is not limited to singing praise songs. It will be expressed through praying, hearing the Word, giving, alone time, baptizing, and through our lifestyles.
Ministry: Meeting the needs of others with Love.
Acts 20:24:-but I make account of none of these, neither do I count my life precious to myself, so that I finish my course with joy, and the ministration that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify fully the good news of the grace of God.
Our goal is to help our youth understand their God given gifts. We will encourage our youth to discover their gifts and to use them for ministry and mission opportunities.
Evangelism: Communicating the love and teachings of Jesus Christ to lead the unsaved into a life changing experience with Jesus Christ.
Acts 1:8- But you will receive power when the holy spirit has come upon you, and you will be witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the farthest parts of the earth.
Luke 4:18- The Spirit of the Lord {is} upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
Matthew 28:20
Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, unto the end of the world. Amen.
Our goal is to create youth that are equipped to go out and spread the good news of Jesus Christ. If we raise youth that are not afraid to spread the word of God, our youth ministry will flourish. We will accomplish this through preaching the word of God and through our actions. God has chosen us to deliver his plan for salvation. Our adult leadership must model the purpose of evangelism. We have to teach our youth that Christianity should not be seen as a responsibility but as a privilege.
Discipleship: Strengthening and building up believers to be more like Christ.
2 Peter 1:2-May grace and peace be lavished on you as you grow in the rich knowledge of the one who called us by his own glory and excellence.
Hebrews 6:1 -So let us stop going over the basic teachings about Christ again and again. Let us go on instead and become mature in our understanding.
Our goal is to teach, teach, teach. We need to build self-sufficient followers of Christ who are on fire for learning the Word. We need to plant constant seeds and allow God to water them so that our youth mature in their knowledge of the word and grow closer to God.
Fellowship: To come together with other believers to be identified as the body of Christ.
Luke 24:13-15-That same day two of them were walking to the village Emmaus, about seven miles out of Jerusalem. They were deep in conversation, going over all these things that had happened. In the middle of their talk and questions, Jesus came up and walked along with them.
1 Corinthians 1:10 -I have a serious concern to bring up with you, my friends, using the authority of Jesus, our Master. I’ll put it as urgently as I can: You must get along with each other. You must learn to be considerate of one another, cultivating a life in common
Our fellowship is designed to make our youth feel loved, cared for, encouraged, and accountable. We will encourage friendship and unity within the ministry without forgetting about the unsaved. Our goal should be to have youth that are focused on bringing the unsaved into the body of Christ. This will prevent us from having a youth that forgets about the lost in the community. Fellowship is a key element in keeping our youth involved with each other and building strong relationships with other believers throughout the community.
